Operational Procedure
Step 1: Manual Loading
Operators place loose materials requiring baling (such as waste paper, plastic film, etc.) into the baler's hopper (compression chamber). Once the material reaches a predetermined capacity or height, the process advances to the next stage.
Step 2: Pre-Forming Compression
Upon activation, the compression cylinder (ram) applies immense pressure vertically downward from above (ranging from tens to hundreds of tons). This force repeatedly compresses the loose material within the hopper, forming it into a compact square bale. For semi-automatic equipment, the operator manually controls each compression cycle; fully automatic systems perform multiple compression cycles autonomously.
Step 3: Strapping and Threading
Once compression is complete and the bale reaches the preset dimensions, the equipment stops compressing and maintains pressure. At this point, the operator (semi-automatic) or an automatic threading device (fully automatic) uses steel strapping or plastic strapping to thread through specially designed holes in the hopper top, securing the compressed bale. Typically, 2-4 straps are applied to ensure the bale remains intact after pressure release.
Step 4: Ejecting the Bundle
After secure strapping, the compression head retracts upward. Subsequently, the side door (or bottom door) of the hopper opens, and the ejection mechanism (e.g., ejection cylinder) pushes the bundle horizontally out of the hopper onto a pallet or transport cart.
Step 5: Transfer and Storage
Operators use forklifts or other tools to remove the bale and transport it to the designated storage area. Subsequently, the hopper door is closed, the equipment resets, and prepares to begin the next work cycle.
